Study Day themes include Beowulf, Literature, Art, Coinage, Music Landscape and the History of the Anglo-Saxon period.

The emphasis of the Study Days is on the quality of the presenters. We choose only speakers who are widely recognised for their specialist knowledge and who are also effective communicators with good presentation skills. |

- Time to learn and discuss
|
Study Days normally start at 10.15am and finish at 4.15pm allowing time to for further discussion or time to wander the grounds of the Sutton Hoo estate and the burial site itself. |

The Study Days usually have no more than 30 participants to ensure that you can have the chance for a dialogue with the speakers and with other attendees. |

Most Study Days take place in The Old Court within sight of the burial mounds at Sutton Hoo, courtesy of the National Trust. |

Study Days cost no more than £38, which includes a full day of lectures, access to the NT site, parking, coffee and tea throughout the day, and access to the NT exhibition. You can bring a picnic lunch or eat in the excellent National Trust restaurant with views down to the River Deben.

Wuffing Education is run as a partnership between Sam Newton and Cliff Hoppitt.
Sam was awarded a PhD for his research on Beowulf in 1991 and is the author of The Origins of Beowulf and the pre-Viking Kingdom of East Anglia (D.S.Brewer 1993) and The Reckoning of King Rędwald(Redbird Press 2003). He is currently a freelance tutor and researcher in early Medieval and Wuffing studies. Sam uses his knowledge and experience to present some of the courses as well as identify the best speakers for others.
Cliff has many years experience in conference and event organisation including international events and uses this experience to ensure that you receive a professional service.
