Dr Sam Newton presents
Sutton Hoo and the Golden Age of Old England

Sutton Hoo Mound 9 covered with sorrel (May 2012)
2012-2013 Wednesday Morning Seminars
at the National Trust Visitors' Centre at Sutton Hoo
All aboard the royal treasure-ship of Sutton Hoo!
We embark on a course charting the lost chapter of Old English history that the golden light of its treasure helps to illuminate.
We will thus explore the beginnings of East Anglia and of England.
We shall also consider my editions and translations of pertinent Old English and related texts.
Seminars are held at the National Trust Visitors' Centre at Sutton Hoo, usually in the Old (Squash) Court, just across the parade ground from the car park.
